Borated polyethylene is a neutron shielding material specially designed for medical and industrial applications. Because of the high hydrogen concentration, fast neutrons are slowed to lower energy thermal (slow) neutrons, which are subsequently absorbed by the added boron compound, which can effectively prevent nuclear radiation from harming families and society. Borated polyethylene is made of UHMWPE material. The higher the molecular weight, the more wear-resistant the material. Its molecular weight is relatively high, and its wear resistance is much higher than other plastics. It also has high impact resistance, whether it is a strong external impact or internal pressure.
